Virtue Group was founded in 2005 on the beautiful island of Galveston, Texas as a primary provider of hotel and hospitality information. Over the course of the next couple years Virtue Group repositioned itself towards the state's largest service industry in the, the restaurant and bar industry. The company expanded and put a renewed focus on its service lines to provide more information on Texa' restaurants and bars.

With its new realignment, Virtue Group garnered the interested of the Texas Restaurant Association which bestowed upon it the prestigious title, of Official Researchers. As the partnership grew over the next few years, Virtue Group and the Texas Restaurant Association sponsored new research into the industry, producing the 2006 Texas Restaurant Industry Operations Report (or TRIOR for short) and the Texas Market Segmentation Study.

The company soon relocated to Austin, Texas in 2006 (yet still maintains its original Galveston telephone number today) to be increase its proximity with the Texas Restaurant Association, other associations in the state, and a market full of top technical talent. During this period, new initiatives were launched by Virtue Group to expand its offering in the On-Premise Alcoholic Beverage marketplace: yDrink now offered three tiers of services and the service line's reporting and capabilities were greatly enhanced.
